RGB Lamp by Nehne and Meier

An RGB Lamp! Now why didn't we think of that? Probably because we're a painting company, but that's beside the point. The point is, this lamp, designed by German and Swiss designers Fabian Nehne and Martin Meier, is clever and stylish. It's based on an additive color model:

It reminds me of light-based installations by Olafur Eliasson, one of my favorite artists working now (check out Colour Square Sphere, Round Rainbow, and Your Atmospheric Colour Atlas).

At first glance I thought the RGB lamp would be a perfect addition to our studio. Considering we mix and apply colors there, however, we need something that won't affect color perception--that's irony for you!

Seen on MocoLoco.

So awesome! It'd be great in a loft. I don't even want to know the price!
