The Mexican tradition I love best (surpassing even the cuisine!) is the unabashed use of bold color in interiors and textiles, so the bedspreads below have got me pretty worked up. These Suzani bedspreads/throws/cloths are expertly hand embroidered by Mexican artisans, and they are unparalleled in their craftsmanship, cheerfulness, and whimsy:
They're available in monochromatic versions as well. Er...just how many bedspreads is one allowed to collect, anyway? I just picked up one of the Liberty of London for Target quilts in this pattern. I could have one for every day of the week and still want more!
