It reminds me of light-based installations by Olafur Eliasson, one of my favorite artists working now (check out Colour Square Sphere, Round Rainbow, and Your Atmospheric Colour Atlas).
At first glance I thought the RGB lamp would be a perfect addition to our studio. Considering we mix and apply colors there, however, we need something that won't affect color perception--that's irony for you!

Oh, crap. I LOVE this. And I love that you give a shout out to Eliasson - one of my all time favs!
That lamp is AMAZING! I think I would give my right arm for *that*. Thanks for the sweet comment. I am now going to be an avid reader of your lovely blog!
So awesome! It'd be great in a loft. I don't even want to know the price!
Carrie, it's nice to know more Eliasson fans. And "oh, crap" is how I felt when I saw this lamp, too, ha!
Katie, right back atcha! I have already been back to your blog a bunch since finding you. Extensive archives worth browsing, folks.
India, I'm not even sure it has a price...scary, huh?!
