Figuring Color

Has anyone been to the new exhibition at the ICA Boston? Figuring Color: Kathy Butterly, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Roy McMakin, Sue Williams opened last weekend and examines how color informs our perception of the world and ourselves.

Color Pile, Sue Williams, 2002

On certain Fridays from now until the exhibition closes in May, specific colors will be the focus of gallery talks and activities in Roy G. Biv: A Series of Colorful Evenings:

March 2: Red
March 16: Orange
March 30: Yellow
April 13: Green
April 27: Blue
May 11: Indigo/Violet

Major props for putting the series in rainbow order! If you see the show, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

(Personal side note: Until I became older and wiser, my Dad had me convinced for years that his college roommate was named Roy G. Biv. Dads, right?)
