An Untidy Desk? Surely Not.

Having just set up our new studio (pictures coming soon, I promise), I had to decide what to do about my desk and surrounding area in the new space. Until now I have been mostly working from my home desk, so having to move my operations elsewhere was a nice opportunity to step back and take stock of what I really needed and used day to day. I ended up using a small, white desk we've had for awhile with a clear acrylic shelf for supplies above. But in my dreams? This, my friends:

The Hansen Family desk by Gesa Hansen

I like a clean space, but I long ago accepted I'm never going to be minimalist. That's why I think the colorful pokey holes in this desk for office things are perfection! (Seen on

Here's another design that helps to keep your desk tidy by allowing you to stack up your books and supplies at the top, leaving your workspace clear:

Kant Desk by German design house Nils Holger Moormann

It's great in white or black laminate (also seen on

What desk are you using now? What would you like to be using?
