Wow! We've been so busy with work for our custom clients in past weeks that we've barely found the time to blog, let alone work on ready made pieces for our Etsy shop and markets. We're not complaining--custom work is one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do. We love helping someone enliven a long-neglected piece of furniture, and our clients love being involved in the creative process and getting just what they want from a set of local craftspeople. Unfortunately, that's a rarity today, as anyone who has been furniture shopping lately will know.
If you're in the Boston area and you've been interested in having a piece Chroma Lab-ed, let us assure you that it's a lot less involved than you might think--in fact, we'll go so far as to say it's hassle-free, because we've intentionally designed it that way.
Here's how it works: We set up an appointment to come look at the piece you want worked on, and talk about what colors and designs you might like. With us, we bring everything you might need to help you make up your mind, including color fan decks, sample panels, and our active and color-obsessed collective imagination.
Once we've all come up with a great idea, we can usually give you a quote on the spot. If everyone is happy (and we do our best to make that so each and every time), we can take the piece to our studio right then and there. We work our magic, and in most cases, a few weeks later we'll be back at your house with a piece that you'll barely recognize--and according to our clients, that's a very good thing.
Going along with the hassle-free theme, all the pick up, delivery, and color consultation is on us. That's what we like to call service; perhaps it's been awhile since you've encountered it. So, if you're like many other folks we've talked to and you have useful but less than sparkling pieces relegated to your basement, projects you never got around to finishing in the garage, or, ahem, projects you abandoned mid-way through the mess, let us know what we can do to help. We love a challenge!
You can email us at info(at)chromalab.net, or call us at 508.641.8228 to set up an appointment or just chat about what you have in mind. Oh, and cyclists stay tuned. We've got something very cool in the works for you!
